Project Pegasus included Lower Stemmons, The Horseshoe and the Canyon. The project as environmentally clear in 2005. Pegasus was a starting point for the current schematic development.

I-635 LBJ (East Section) will consist of full re-construction and widening of I-635 from US 75 to I-30, including the I-30 Interchange, approximately 11 miles. The general purpose lanes will be widened from 8 to 10 lanes and the existing Tolled Managed Lanes will remain as two lanes, for a total of 12 general purpose and Tolled Managed Lanes, in addition to construction of continuous frontage roads and numerous intersection improvements.

I-30 East Corridor

The project is investigating adding general purpose lanes and express lanes in the corridor. Total study area involves three cities/towns: Dallas, Garland, and Mesquite. Increase capacity from 6 general purpose lanes on I-30 between US 80 and I-635 to 8 general purpose lanes. Add reversible managed lanes on I-30 between I-45 and US 80. Reconstruct 4/6-lane discontinuous frontage roads to 4/6-lane continuous frontage roads.
