IH 35 Integrated Corridor Management
Project Type: Integrated Corridor ManagementTxDOT, the City of Austin, and other local partner agencies have worked since 2015 on implementing Integrated Corridor Management (ICM) strategies. ICM includes expanding the use of real-time travel information in highly congested urban areas to enable agencies and third party routing applications to better inform the public about travel options. It also enables agencies to make responsive adjustments to their respective systems as appropriate, for example, adjusting transit routes or traffic signals. The effort is intended to facilitate interagency collaboration and help combine numerous information technologies and real-time travel information from highway, rail, and transit operations.
